Last week I started to talk about Saturn in LIBRA, an influence that will affect all of us now to October 2012. This planet will bring a deep, “realistic” change to everyone.

Saturn “squares” Pluto next Sunday (November 15) – an aspect that will affect this entire month, and which occurs off and on through August 2010. This will bring a restructuring of many things, the economy, manufacturing, the job outlook for the masses (only the hard-working will advance – luck goes somewhere else) and, more than anything, politics and government, including national structures. It will be a sobering time for the world. As I mentioned last week, liberal factions will have early gains, but conservative forces, by changing and adapting (and making themselves more palatable to the crowds) will win the war. Canada’s Steven Harper is a good, portentous example of this: he moved his rightist party toward the left, sabotaging Liberal support. I say portentous, because, as an AQUARIUS, Harper often acts as if he were feeling major influences a year or two early. (Aquarius is the sign of the future, and often finds it has run so far into the future that it has lost the support of the present. Abe Lincoln did this, which made it hard for him to get elected.)

*Note from Tim: To all you sharp-eyed readers who noticed my gaffe about Steven Harper: Yes, he is a Taurus, just like Ignatief, but, again like Ignatief, he has an Aquarian Moon in his house/sign of ruler-ship and politics. My mind was racing past my detail side, I guess. His dictatorial attitude is Aquarian, gloved in that velvet, unflappable, phlegmatic Taurian calm. Anyway, I goofed!

Saturn now affects Libran more than any other sign. You Librans will find that the years ahead (to October 2012) make you more serious about real estate, home and family, children, retirement, security, and related matters. This can be a good thing, nudging rolling stones to settle down, young people to buy their first home, wage earners to begin retirement funds, parents to get more serious about their children’s future. Agriculture, gardening, diet, anything involving Mother Nature, leased premises, children’s support systems, maternity clothes, furniture, plates and cutlery, food (especially grains, wheat) – all these are on this list, too. You might become pregnant now, or adopt a stepchild or your sister’s daughter, or you might invest in a furniture factory, or build a new basement foundation. However, undertaking any of these is likely to entail some sacrifice: nothing comes for free with Saturn. He demands payment, but he also brings rewards that last for years, even lifetimes. You might need to watch, health-wise, your knees, your diet’s effect on your skin, and constipation.
You might purchase a property soon. If you purchased a property between December 19, 2007 and January 4, 2009, it will demand more effort from you. It was a lucky property to begin with; now Saturn is making you deserve the luck!.
