ASTRAL REFLECTIONS

After that column a few weeks ago about your sign # 8, I received a slew of emails asking for more details. Okay, here goes. First, find your sign # 8 by labeling your own sign # 1 in the Sun-sign messages below. Then label the sign below yours # 2, the next # 3, and so on. For example, Gemini's # 8 is Capricorn, but Capricorn's # 8 is Leo.
	Your # 8 sign is (in general, for many extenuating circumstances and overlapping influences exist) your source of lust. Lust can be a good thing - a lust for life - or a bad thing - an extramarital temptation, for example. In most birth charts, our 7th Solar house of marriage includes part of our 8th sign of lust - which is probably a good thing!
	Your sign # 8 is also the area where you investigate secrets, where you invest and accrue debt, where you sign mortgages and other documents, where inheritances come, where sex results in consequences (bonding, pregnancy, etc.). In general, this is your sign of deep, almost subconscious urges, and consequential actions. It is also your sign of change, because when you take a consequential action, such as signing a mortgage or entering sexual intimacy, it changes your life. If you were born with Jupiter, Venus or the Moon well aspected in your # 8 sign, you will receive an inheritance. Even if your extended family is impoverished, you'll still "inherit" jobs, lucky investment events will occur, etc. Your # 8 sign could be seen as the engine, the furnace room, of your life. (It also controls birth and death, and all the small deaths and rebirths of life which lead to a mature personality.)
	If you bond with your # 8, you soon find yourself "attached" or involved on many levels - financial, personal, child-related, etc. However, # 8 is not a particularly good marriage sign. It contains too many secrets or mysteries, and too much change. You never feel totally "settled" with a # 8 spouse. You never completely understand him or her. Perhaps, too, complete trust never exists. Note that if your # 8 counted through the signs, you would be his or her # 6 sign. You're a work, duty, and drudgery sign to your # 8. So you're lusting, but your mate is thinking, "Jeepers, he/she's mussed my sheets, and now I have to wash them." Of all the 8-6 combinations, Leo-Capricorn might work best, for Leo loves attention - which the lusting partner would give. Still, Leo doesn't really like Capricorn's no-nonsense way of giving it. Sometimes, people who remain faithful in a #8-6 relationship experience deep health problems, usually later in life. Now, these are just Sun-signs, and many other factors ameliorate - for example, you might have Moons in loving aspect, or your # 8 sign might be your ascendant's marriage sign, etc.

Aries   March 21-April 19
The month ahead features home, family, real estate, your base and your security. You'll be deciding who and what should stay in your life, and who/what should go. You're facing a whole new reality in these areas. In the short space of this spring just past, you have switched social allegiances, confronted a new "duty situation" on the home/child front, and - very recently - begun to examine your own shortcomings and long-term needs. Many things have changed, more than is apparent yet! Your energy, charisma help you succeed Sunday, but settle for just being happy Monday. Chase money Tuesday. Stick to routine Wednesday. Communicate/travel Friday/Saturday, not Thursday. (110)

Taurus   April 20-May 20
This week's easy and successful for you, although nothing of huge importance awaits. Now through late July, handle paperwork, communications, errands, details - and be curious, for you could stumble upon opportune situations and new friends (especially Monday/Tuesday). Rest, contemplate, handle red tape, charity, taxes, health and soul needs Sunday/Monday. (Sunday best - you won't reach people Monday.) Your energy and charisma surge upward late Monday night to Wednesday - seek important favors, start important projects - by Tuesday eve at the latest. Don't be slow! Be financially wary Thursday; chase money Friday/Saturday. (93)

Gemini   May 21-June 20
View career surprises as opportunities Chase money now through late July. A new reality faces you in earning/spending zones now through mid-2005. Be conservative, cook your financial cake slowly. Sunday (especially) and Monday bring social delights and a bright, hopeful mood. But retreat for a rest Monday night to Thursday morning. Handle governmental, red-tape, charity and spiritual matters. (Don't visit a psychic, though.) Your energy and magnetism soar back Thursday to Saturday, bringing a sweet new romantic note - but not Thursday, when impatience or your unpredictable actions puzzle others. (93)

Cancer   June 21-July 22
Weariness ends. Your energy, charisma and effectiveness soar now through late July - you'll be in the right place at the right time. This week will surprise you with sudden insights, eye-openers -- you're starting to understand new things about power, career, ethics and "the wide world." Chase career/prestige goals Sunday, forgo them Monday. Your social, happy side rises late Monday night to Thursday morning - see and be seen, visit, send invitations Tuesday. A wish could come true! Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
Retreat now through late July, Leo - just enough to rest a bit, to contemplate, plan, and make sure you aren't acting too impulsively. Your basic luck remains high - but it will surge to decade highs late July through August - so plan, prepare now. Wisdom and mellow understanding float through you Sunday (act on it, seek love, legal, intellectual or travel goals) and Monday (don't act, even though you see a major new secret or previously hidden "doorway"). Leap on career, financial luck Tuesday. Leap into happiness Friday/Saturday - flirt, entertain! (93)

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
Social joys fill the month ahead. You're likely to meet someone who provokes or intrigues you - if you're single, this could develop, as time passes, into a much more serious relationship than you expect. If you're married, don't play with fire. But do remain open to new business, friendship, sports, club, political and intellectual contacts - one or two of these could introduce you to a whole new world, could change your life deeply, in the months ahead. Three ingredients are essential: honesty, diplomacy and awareness - you're entering "consequential waters!" (93)

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
Your career, ambitions, social status, parental role and relations with VIPs are accented over the four weeks ahead. This arena has turned newly serious (early June through mid-2005) - circumstances demand honesty, and a willingness to shoulder a heavier burden. Lots of work will be laid on your shoulders - you might want to sift through "demands" now, to choose those which you'll accept. Sunday's filled with opportunities and "relationship." Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
The four weeks ahead bring understanding, a mellow mood and a general "mental enchantment." This enchantment begins six months of heightened romantic fervor. It can also trigger intellectual creativity, far travel, legal and media success. For the first time in decades - in 40 years - your sign is stepping up to real romantic levels! Tackle work Sunday, you'll succeed. Stick to routine Monday. Relationship excitement could bring destined bonding - or separation - Tuesday. (Wednesday has no future.) The month ahead holds mysteries, changes, commitments and consequences. This area will become very serious, important (and boring) over the two years ahead. For four weeks - and two years - relationships rise in significance. Be diplomatic, a team-player. Seek permission where you must - don't skirt the rules. It's difficult to tell whether you should seek a partner or go it alone - play this by ear, by individual case, now through July 2005. These two years will curtail your independence in some way. Aquarius   Jan. 20-Feb. 18
Chores, health concerns, and the needs of dependents grow through the month ahead. Responsibilities/duties become more important, serious and slow now to July 2005. No harm here, just trudge onward. Travel, errands, communications and paperwork succeed Sunday. Sunday and Tuesday are great days to buy machinery, a car, etc. But buy nothing, start nothing Monday nor Wednesday. Tackle major, potentially lucrative chores Tuesday. Apply for a job, etc. Beware creative, speculative approaches (and unwise pleasures) - stay realistic, practical. Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
In some way, in romance, in art, in hobbies, in raising your children, beauty and pleasure, passion and creativity will swell into your life through late July. The serious, monetary, practical side of life should take a back seat now (though it won't, entirely, so don't spend too much). These areas - pleasure, romance, children's interests, etc. - will grow in importance now through mid-2005. They'll also "slow down," which you'll find frustrating for the next five months.
