ASTRAL REFLECTIONS

	Adriano Carelli, an Italian astrologer writing in the 1950's, called one of the zodiacal degrees "Lese majesty." To illustrate, he described a Molingue painting that showed Etienne Marcel covering the French Dauphin with his cap in a sign of protection, after having had the marshals of Champagne and Normandy killed before his eyes.  
When I think of George Bush limiting class action suits and medical malpractice awards, and the huge sigh of relief it must have given erring pharmaceutical firms, I can't help thinking of that lese majesty picture. There he is putting his cap over the drug lords, while taking six-shooter pot shots at plaintiff lawyers. As you know, the pharmaceutical industry, always a powerful lobby in Washington, has been embarrassed royally by its painkilling drugs - which, some allege, might eliminate not only the pain but the pain sufferer too.  That's causing some drug companies a pain of their own. So to have legal awards limited to what amounts to a mild pinch, would come just in the nick of time. 
	Pharmaceuticals and drug companies are ruled by Neptune, which sits squarely in the middle of Aquarius this decade. (In fact, it's right near that "lese majesty" degree.) You might say Aquarius has captured Neptune for a while. Aquarius creates calamities that alter the general picture - revolutions, accidents, lightning and - I guess - the sudden overthrow of drug empires. Aquarius always favors "class action." Round one to the lawyers. Jupiter, the planet of lawyers, spends 2005 in the sign of justice, Libra. There, it co-operates in a lucky, winning way with Aquarius. Round two to the lawyers.
But Jupiter is squashed this year by forceful Saturn, looming in - guess what? - George Bush's Sun-sign, Cancer. So the drug lawsuits will grow, but the Bush administration will effectively eradicate them or limit their rewards. If not present lawsuits, certainly future ones. Lawyers will actually help the case against them by expanding their suits to massive, unwieldy heights in 2005. Round three, forcefulness, to Bush. Round four, public sympathy, to Bush.
	Sagittarius rules lawyers. Usually, Sagittarius promotes wealth, prosperity, bombast and optimism. But from 1996 to 2008 Pluto transforms Sagittarians - and lawyers. The profession of law could itself be changed - more than at anytime since the Industrial Revolution. The agent of change, for Sagittarians, is usually Cancer (George Bush). Perhaps, soon, lawyers' fees will be subjected to government control. 
	(Although I can't see Bush limiting a wealthy person's right to rake in piles of dough, it would be something - something uncharacteristic I'm afraid - if he limited neither class actions nor damage awards, but lawyers' fees.)

Aries   March 21-April 19
Be ambitious. You'll make good decisions, your actions cause results, and very few impediments arise. You might undertake (or undergo, depending on whether you're assertive or passive) a significant change in a partnership, association, marriage or other link. The change mostly occurs on the philosophical, legal, and/or communications side. An import-export, far travel, legal, education, or media project might birth now and during the weeks ahead - it looks powerful! Be cautious with partnerships, contracts and public dealings, especially now through July - make sure you're not the only one "giving." 

Taurus   April 20-May 20
You learned something secret last November/December, maybe had a puzzling insight into someone's "situation."  The revelations continue this week, but you're beginning to make sense of them, fitting all you see into a larger picture. In that same two months, you might have wrestled with a big investment or financial action, a lifestyle change, a sexual attraction or health concern. These, also, are straightening themselves into good results. Yes, sign legal papers. A great, good transformation (of your life) has begun! One job might be ending soon, another beginning.

Gemini   May 21-June 20
Look deeply, secrets emerge this week and next. Doors open to investment opportunities, debt rearrangements, lifestyle changes, sexual attractions, and successful research and "detective" work. If you have a serious health problem, it will also show. (So if it doesn't, there was little to worry about recently!) Relationships of all kinds continue to be very important - be an eager pal, even to your spouse/lover. Sign contracts, make agreements. A significant love might be developing. Conditions hint at both a change and a "birth" of deep associations Sunday/Monday and Friday/Saturday.  

Cancer   June 21-July 22
The hard work of the last month continues to early February. Work changes now - a new task or employment will arise, or your work will bring you closer to home and friends. The two weeks ahead emphasize relationships - all is well here, so just proceed forward - sign contracts, negotiate agreements, deal with the public, respond to exciting, attractive new people if you're single. Home sweet home keeps you busy yet contemplative Sunday to midday Tuesday. Romance, beauty, pleasure arise Tuesday night to Thursday morning. Work, health promote "new beginnings" Friday/Saturday.

Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
The two weeks ahead bring more work, some health concerns, and dependents whom you have to care for. But your romantic, creative, speculative and child-oriented projects (they've beguiled you since November) continue to reward you through early February. You might change partners in the weeks ahead, or a deep, love-based change comes to your partnership. Monday, Tuesday and Saturday give birth to these changes. Travel, run errands, communicate Sunday/Monday. Settle into home, security matters Tuesday eve to Thursday morning. Love, romance, creative success arise Friday/Saturday - new projects arise in these.

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
You feel adventurous, romantic, creative - you're ready to take a chance. Real estate, family, garden, agriculture, food/shelter projects/businesses are the most likely candidates for indulging your appetite for risk. You might invest in a food stock, buy a property, etc. As long as you move carefully, avoid impulsive actions and act ethically, you could succeed, especially this week. (I'll keep connecting ethics and money all 2005, because temptations are rife.) Sunday/Monday signal a change of heart or approach, and Friday/Saturday promote a new step, in family, property, food/shelter zones. 

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
Home, real estate, children, security, Mother Nature fill the two weeks ahead. One part of you feels sluggish, wants to rest and dream; the other experiences a restless urge to travel, learn, ask questions, talk and write. The security/rest side can't hurt you, so it's a good default position. But some significant changes brew in travel, talk and learning arenas, especially Sunday/Monday and Friday/Saturday. With faith, hope and effort, you can create a whole new situation - e.g., a new car, new computer system, new friend, great short trip, etc! 

Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
Variety, curiosity, communications, friends, siblings, short trips, errands and paperwork fill the two weeks ahead. But the most important action might center on money, earnings, buying/selling, possessions (including memories or rote learning - e.g., to get your driver's or pilot's license) and, perhaps, casual sex. These "items" are a continuation of matters that have been going on since November. They evolve now, a new project or significant change takes place, especially Sunday/Monday and Friday/Saturday. Charge ahead to make these lucrative changes come about! Your energy rises mid-week - ask a favor.

Sagittarius   Nov. 22-Dec. 21
Money and your personality combine in a successful duo! Your determination, charm, talkativeness and friendliness - and your willingness to take a chance - are at a 5-10 year peak! Chase money goals, seek a pay raise, make important purchases. Chase love, romance, new friendships, negotiations, agreements and contracts, dealings with the public, and your fondest hopes! You'll change "social settings" soon. A new inner attitude brews this year - Monday, Friday and Saturday hold a clue. Advance your cause these three days! Retreat Tuesday to Thursday, when your energy falls briefly.

Capricorn   Dec. 22-Jan. 19
Your energy, charisma, effectiveness and sense of timing are tops this week and next! Start important projects, ask favors, see and be seen - impress people, show your talents. You could "re-start" a significant project or venture in a management, administrative, spiritual, health, governmental, institutional or similar area. This is probably something that has been brewing since early November - further developments amount to almost a "rebirth" of this project/interest. Your deepest inner hopes about love are changing - this will bring love, perhaps late summer to next February; perhaps in 2008. 

Aquarius   Jan. 20-Feb. 18
You're hopeful yet tired, social yet want to be in your own thoughts. Combine these two for best results - e.g., be social with a contemplative (spiritual, planning, therapy, confidential discussion) group. Or be quiet and restful, but work on your plans for the future - your broadest, long-range, fondest plans. Both these - groups and plans - are undergoing a transformation and a "rebirth" this week, especially Sunday/Monday and Friday/Saturday. Some Aquarians might have a secret lover now, though you can guess where that leads. Be ambitious, and reliable, Tuesday eve to Thursday.

Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
Your career goals and prospects undergo a subtle change Sunday/Monday. This can lead you to a good new career initiative or project Friday/Saturday. Study the factors and potential allies Tuesday into Thursday. (You could change allies, or meet a good new one, Tuesday after dawn.) The whole early week, Sunday to Tuesday, lifts your interest in hidden things, research, investing and large finances, and sexuality. This is a great time for Pisces parents to re-arrange, institute and/or agree on parenting roles, actions and sharing. Optimism, popularity accompany you all week!
