ASTRAL REFLECTIONS

	All times/dates are PDT.
	Mercury retrogrades this Thursday to November 1. Take a cautious, wait-and-see stance, and avoid starting big new projects.
	On December 18, Jupiter moves into CAPRICORN for twelve and a half months, kicking off a brand new luck phase for every sign.
	Almost simultaneously (12 hours earlier) the Moon's north node moves into AQUARIUS, giving us all a brand new set of karmic influences lasting until August 2009. 
	These two phases neither buttress each other, nor conflict; they sit out there as independent influences on our lives. So I'll describe them in two sets for each sign - and you can put them together as your intuition and logic suggest.
	The new one-year luck cycle (lasting December 18 2007 to January 5 2009) is more significant and fruitful than most. Happily, this particular luck will fit snugly with our practical goals, and tend to produce sensible, long lasting results. Our luck will also tend to involve a huge sea change. (This reflects, to some degree, the huge economic and political changes on the horizon, as Pluto enters Capricorn with Jupiter, the luck planet. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn - 1770's - democracy arose, and power shifted from Europe to the Americas.) For example, for CANCER this luck phase brings the opportunity to marry, but it will be a marriage unlike any Cancer has known before, to a type of person he/she is not familiar with. Relationships, though lucky, will confront Cancer with a whole new set of values, joys and frustrations. For ARIES this phase supports great luck and opportunities in career - but it also sets in motion the most significant change in career (or community status) Aries has ever known. GEMINI not only makes a great investment, but one that forms the foundations for a whole new life. 
December/07 through 2008, for all of us, good luck opens the door to 17 years of both inner transformation and outer, circumstantial change.
	The upcoming karmic phase, though it starts virtually the same day as our new luck phase (December 18) lasts longer, until August 21 2009. This cycle affects us strongly in the area of ethics, morals, decisions, etc. Generally, this period will promote altruism, humanitarianism, revolt, activism, political consciousness, union activities, legislature, friendship and large groups. It will discourage creativity, self-expression, gambling and self-indulgent romance.
	Next week, I'll start the luck/karma forecasts for each sign.

Aries   March 21-April 19
Co-workers grow affectionate and your work becomes pleasant for the five weeks ahead. But a slow-down has hit all financial, investigation, research, sexual and "deeper" zones - be patient in these, be alert for mistakes, double-check figures and directions, and DON'T start new ventures in these areas. A former sexual temptation - or a former investment opportunity, one you didn't grab the first time around - might return. This could be lucky this week, less so next, so jump on it if you're sure, especially Friday. Don't argue Tuesday! Settle things Wednesday.

Taurus   April 20-May 20
Life's work, but a sweet romantic streak enters now to early November. You'll deal well with beauty, creativity, pleasure and speculative ventures. But all relationships slide into delays, mistakes and indecision Thursday through November 1. Act quickly on romantic or creative impulses Sunday/Monday - after this, indulge your senses, but don't expect new romance to evolve into a solid situation. An "ex" or former mate could return during October - if this week (Friday?) he/she's a good one; if later, maybe. In all matters, neither make or accept promises; sign nothing.

Gemini   May 21-June 20
Romance, beauty, pleasure, vacation atmosphere, sports, creativity, and speculative urges draw you. The more these take place at or near home, the better - your home is sweet, affectionate through early November. DON'T start new projects now through November 1 - mistakes, delays, indecision would undercut them, create frustrations and failure. This applies especially in work, machinery, service and health arenas. DON'T buy a new computer nor software. Your romantic approaches could cause a sharp rebuke Tuesday, but not Wednesday! (Means, partly, pick right person.) You'll feel centered, snug. Save money!

Cancer   June 21-July 22
Contradictions abound. Your home is fruitful, growing, draws you, and you feel toasty, sleepy, restful. Yet you also feel ambitious, determined, assertive, perhaps sexually so. And now through early November, travel appeals to you (short trips) and rewards you, bringing friends, beautiful sights/moments, etc. These could combine (e.g., watching travel shows on tv, or ambitiously repairing your domicile). Your romantic, creative senses are awakened (especially Friday!) but confused. DON'T start a new romance, writing project, holiday plan, or child-related commitment (e.g., enrolling them in a new school) before November 2. 

Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
Short trips, talk, writing, paperwork, details, errands, siblings and casual contacts fill your days. Your money picture looks better all October - this week, especially Friday/Saturday, will coalesce money and work into a comfortable one-ness - or show you that your money isn't going to make it. If the latter, don't work harder yet - study the situation, wait, think. There will be more than enough hard (and successful) work in 2008 - without the money puzzles of today. DON'T start new domestic, real estate, gardening or family projects now to November 1.

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
Start NO new projects through November 1. Communications, writing, emails, media, schedules and travel are particularly prone to delays, indecision, missed appointments and misunderstood directions. In a bigger view, your life is steadily improving. Your money's "passable" at least. Now to early November, your charisma rises, others are attracted. And the "karmic gauntlet," the frustrations of the past 15 months, are quickly passing away. Your social scene intensifies, and might offer sexual adventure. Almost everything goes your way this week, although Tuesday could be a little unsettling - don't invest. 

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
Your charisma and energy leap toward a yearly high this week. You'll impress! But effectiveness - solid results - might elude you. This is NOT a good time (through November 1) to start significant new projects, especially in money, earnings and buy/sell areas. Don't buy anything important (unless it comes from the past Thursday/Friday - this could be lucky). Don't trust your memory. Double-check facts, figures, arrangements. A sensual liaison begun now will have a short life span, but that's okay. You're tired Sunday/Monday - contemplate, fulfill old obligations. Handle higher-ups diplomatically Tuesday. 

Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
Indecision, delays and "wrong words" start to pile up through November 1. Your best stance this week and next: stand back, watch others act, be patient. (And rest - in sme way, you're recuperating from years of "over effort.") DON'T start big new projects, especially ones that depend on a personal push, personality, or calling in favors. An old "sexy flame" might return. Elements of travel, law, learning, or attendance at a cultural event, might enter your work. Your social life improves - subtly now, obviously and happily in two weeks! 

Sagittarius   Nov. 22-Dec. 21
Wishes might come true - the weakest of these involve career and status early week, the strongest revolve around social life, flirtations and entertainment Wednesday/Thursday. Careful Tuesday - someone wants to argue or draw you into a losing situation in love, sex or money. Lie low, rest and think Friday/Saturday - a love, health, governmental or spiritual matter will be answered (the obvious answer lies in your thoughts). Your career, community standing meet "structural restrictions." Don't dive into this arena - distance, wisdom needed. DON'T start big, important projects now to November 1.

Capricorn   Dec. 22-Jan. 19
The accent lies on ambitions, career, dealings with VIPs - and your reputation. Something building in the background of your life could cause a disruption in communications. A Virgo or Pisces could be involved. You might embrace a bit of wisdom or a life philosophy this week, but consider: it might offer more "tempting shelter" than truth. Now to November 1, former flirts and happy friends return! During this same period, don't expect new social, union or convention projects to run smoothly. Your hopes rise Friday/Saturday - for good reason!

Aquarius   Jan. 20-Feb. 18
DON'T START any new career, business, status-oriented or community-relations projects before November 1. Work demands grow intense now to December, but concentrate, for now, on tasks and projects that are ongoing or return from the past. Investments, intimacy, secrets, research and lifestyle changes get a false green light - wait until October 19 onward before you embrace the apparent luck in these. (Otherwise, you could drape yourself in a cloak of comforting suffocation.) A mellow, loving mood steals over you mid-week. Despite my warnings about career, yours should progress very nicely Friday/Saturday!

Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
DON'T start any new projects, especially in legal, international, educational, religious, publishing or media zones. Indecision, delays, mistakes and false starts lurk, right into November 1. Ongoing or former ventures could return from these arenas - if so, they could be good, especially if they arise this Friday/Saturday, and after October 22. A relationship, partnership or strong association "meets reality" now - a mingling of sweetness, hope for the future, and a subtle, slight but nagging worry or discomfort. Better look at that worry closely. Don't seal your future this month!
