ASTRAL REFLECTIONS

	Oops. Before the emails fly, I have to correct myself. Last column, I said I "absolutely" agreed with everything Rev. Jeremiah Wright said. I wasn't thinking of the assertion that AIDS was a white American conspiracy to infect blacks. That, sorry, I can't agree with. 
	While I'm retracting things, in a column awhile ago, I accused "republicans and step-mothers" of denying the credo that we are all responsible for everyone's sins. That was an unfair slag against step-mothers (and a feeble attempt at humor). Many step-moms try really hard at a difficult, even hair-pulling situation. My praise would have been more appropriate. ("Is that enough, dear?")
	Oh, and I might as well apologize, while I'm on a roll, for calling Hillary a "wolf ravenous for power." I believe it, but I know Hillary fans will hate me. I think Hillary would be a compassionate and often effective President, but I worry about whom she would be compassionate toward, as her stumping is filled with xenophobic pandering. She's a scaremonger, encouraging and fomenting fears of China and Iran, and promoting protectionism (which the Great Depression taught us causes great depressions). Now she's advocating nuclear war, for gosh sakes. Her proper running mate would be Jeremiah Wright - two seniors with a lot of rant to dispense. (Or McCain-Clinton?)
There's just too much creepy, self-aggrandizing pride and arrogance seeping through this entire Clinton family. They're immature.
	Even when she's happy and exhilarated, Hillary looks like a pretender to the throne of charisma. Obama sits firm in that seat, just as JFK did. We trust such politicians because we assume they will make their decisions based on some magical intuitive leadership quality matrix, on a higher order of consciousness than mere logic or emotion. Hillary's campaigning style hints she would, as President, swing constantly on the pendulum of logical responses and unintended consequences. Americans want more than that from their leader. They want someone close to divinity, a person of a rare, unique and mysterious strength that tells the constituents they'll be safe no matter what battles he leads them into. So there was Obama after winning North Carolina, lifting everyone on the cadence of his speech, singing the song of ideals and the melody of promise. He's the one. I'm not saying the right one. Barack's fortunes should get a boost now through late June. (Looks like he doesn't need it, after N. Carolina.) But minds will change, too: either recanting super delegates, or inordinate foot dragging among them.

Aries   March 21-April 19
If you have any money business to wrap up, or want to purchase or invest, do it Sunday/Monday (Sunday's best). A month of travel, communications, casual contacts, paperwork, errands and details starts Tuesday. Usually this would not be an important few weeks - this time, a strong romantic or creative potential hovers around you, which can only be helped by this friendly, communicative phase. Wisdom, love, understanding and compassion flow in Tuesday/Wednesday. Be ambitious Thursday to Saturday - you could overcome a work or health obstacle you thought was too big. 

Taurus   April 20-May 20
Chase love, romance, a creative project or a gamble Sunday/Monday. Or alter a child's future for the better (by teaching something, starting an education fund, etc.). Sunday's best. Tuesday begins a four-week focus on buying/selling, earnings, possessions, memorization, and casual sensuality. Friction or tension could enter your home life through June - be careful with this. Don't let yourself be egged, by temper or anger, into an unwise move or promise. (E.g., DON'T buy real estate or tackle your broken stairs with a chain saw.) Someone's attracted to you Friday/Saturday. 

Gemini   May 21-June 20
Lie low and get your rest Sunday/Monday - tackle quiet chores and health needs. You might spy a splendid investment Sunday. Your energy, charisma and effectiveness begin a month-long rise Tuesday. Doom, gloom and boredom end. But be wary through Thursday noon - various home, property, family or security restrictions need to be overcome or accommodated before you can soar in flight. The weeks ahead urge you toward significant, important actions - yet Mercury retrograde (May 26 onward) says these projects better be re-runs, or have a strong link to the past, to succeed. 

Cancer   June 21-July 22
In the weeks ahead, you'll redo/return to government or institutional paperwork or communications, a charitable act, or a spiritual experience. If you have anything new you need to accomplish in these areas, do it now. May 26 to June 19 brings delays, mistakes, indecision and confusion to new projects. Nostalgia will surge, almost as if your subconscious was asking you to walk old paths. Get lots of rest, "power naps," and eat and dress sensibly. Sunday's beautifully romantic and creative! A difficult relationship arises Thursday, exciting, lucky ones Friday/Saturday. 

Leo   July 23-Aug. 22
A month of hopes and renewed optimism arrives Tuesday. You'll be popular; you'll attract flirtations, social delights, entertainment and fulfillment. Your mind and libido are working overtime as well, so one of those flirtations could easily spark into a love affair. (Better AFTER May 27.) A former, returning friend could be involved - or the one. If you're married, behave - being attached is the best thing for you all 2008. Rest, recuperate Sunday/Monday. Your romantic side surges Tuesday/Wednesday. (A false love siren comes Monday.) Tackle chores and health concerns Thursday/Friday.

Virgo   Aug. 23-Sept. 22
Errands, travel, and a flurry of calls, emails and messages float down upon you Sunday/Monday. There's goodness in these Sunday, deception Monday. A month of ambition, prestige, status, and VIP relations starts Tuesday. You might run into an obstacle here before Friday - perhaps involving your reluctance to display enthusiasm. Another hindrance arises into May 26 - a smaller, monetary obstacle. The 26th begins three weeks of delays and mistakes in new career areas, but productivity in old or former career venues. So don't start anything new; instead, reprise the old. 

Libra   Sept. 23-Oct. 22
Money speaks Sunday/Monday. You can land a great investment, even a house, or get the right angle on a pay raise project Sunday, but beware deception and self-deception Monday. Travel, talk, read, handle paperwork and exercise your curiosity Tuesday/Wednesday. Your home/family, security, retirement, and general foundation grow important Thursday to Saturday - this same note will be struck powerfully for the 17 years ahead. Take only defensive action before noon PDT, then charge ahead toward luck and expansion in these zones. Yes, buy a home, or expand that retirement fund! 

Scorpio   Oct. 23-Nov. 21
Others continue to treat you well, but a change is coming - the affection and co-operation you've experienced in business and love turns "underground." This promises good things overall: hidden support, beneficial lifestyle and health changes, affectionate intimacy and productive finances (not investments) arise over the weeks ahead. HOWEVER: 1) don't chase these things before Thursday noon; and 2) more importantly, realize that until June 19 you'll deal successfully with past and reprised matters, but not so successfully with brand new projects. Love's grand Sunday, money's good Tuesday, friends Friday.

Sagittarius   Nov. 22-Dec. 21
Drudgery ends. (Well, there's some - and weariness - left Sunday/Monday, along with work-money luck.) Your energy rises Tuesday - and a month of opportunities, exciting meetings, challenges and fresh air arrives! Put on your diplomat's hat, for best results. Through June 19, an "ex" - previous lover, spouse, even business associate(s), could show up. This won't be a good period to start a new relationship, sign new contracts, nor make or accept promises. So all those "new opportunities" will actually be "former" or reprised ones. Good - grab them! Good money luck Friday.

Capricorn   Dec. 22-Jan. 19
A month of average hard work and health concerns starts Tuesday. Earlier, a dream could come true Sunday (mostly an emotional or social one) and a wish or dream could prove false Monday. Retreat late Monday through Wednesday. Gather your energies, recharge the batteries, sleep, contemplate and plan. Your vitality and ordinary charisma return Thursday to Saturday. Proceed carefully, cautiously all week to Thursday noon (sign nothing, commit no funds) then charge ahead with important, significant projects. But start nothing new before June 19 - mistakes and delays will interfere.

Aquarius   Jan. 20-Feb. 18
A winning streak begins Tuesday! The weeks ahead hold romance, beauty, pleasure, a wonderful vacation (if you take it) charming kids, sports and games, speculation and rewarding risks. But be cautious about throwing over all your restrictions before Thursday noon - be cautious especially in sexual, financial, and commitment areas. Sunday offers friendly career-money opportunities. Monday might deceive in the same arena. You'll feel optimistic, popular and happy with your lot Tuesday/Wednesday. The future looks bright! Retreat for a final "get ready" rest Thursday to Saturday - government links will succeed.

Pisces   Feb. 19-March 20
You're lucky in love, intellectual matters, travel and international affairs and legalities Sunday - and lucky still, but a bit uncertain or fuzzy about it, Monday. Tuesday begins a month of relaxation, withdrawal from the crowd, retirement and security concerns, gardening and nature, and home and family. Yield to physical weariness - a rest is strongly needed. You might not seek it immediately, as Tuesday/Wednesday bring a surge of ambition, and Thursday to Saturday promise social delights and flirtations. Be cautious in relationships to Thursday noon. A "former home" becomes important.
