AFTERAMBLE:
This thing about trans men in women’s bathrooms. I watched a CNN “debate” about this. The republican pundit repeated that “women have a right to feel comfortable” in their bathroom. I don’t think it’s a direct right, enshrined in the constitution, but it probably is a “secondary” right (I.e., guaranteed by subsequent law, or included in precedent, whatever). I didn’t hear the dem pundit’s argument, except an isolated sentence in which she revealed that she stood in an idealistic posture.
I’m going to assume she supported trans men in women’s bathrooms, and likely said it was a violation of human rights to discriminate against them. That would be a good argument if they really had become women, real women by surgery.
I sympathize with the view that we all should accept each other, and if as a society we went about naked, at work, home, recreation, if in this men and women mingled without boundary, then I’d say protesting trans women is/would be a ridiculous stance. And in future we might really be this way. All else, anything beyond nakedness (I’m ignoring the need for warmth or sun protection) is fashion in its broadest sense, to create deception, display and the accenting of favourable characteristics: one’s sexuality, intelligence, physical health, etc.) So, let trannies in any bathroom they want, as long as there is only one bathroom, for men and women.
This brings up one of the democrat’s major problems: their ideas and direction, in general (because some parts are pure evil) are prescient, they show, foretell, the ideas and opinions, the “truths” and the development direction, of a future humanity — but too soon. They’ve been playing/singing 2075 in 2024.
