AFTERAMBLE:
Re the American illegal aliens: Trump wants to throw them back into their own country. The Democrats want every individual illegal alien — some 10-20 million — to have “due process” — to have their day in court. This has been estimated to take 200 years, at present court rates.
First, does an illegal alien have any right to due process in a country they have invaded?
If so, here’s my solution: round up around 10 million aliens, put them in fenced and guarded camps, and have them sit there until the courts can digest them one-by-one. If they die waiting during that 200 years, that’s the Democrats’ problem (because they have insisted every illegal has to have a court procedure).
Or, better, while they sit in camps (kept there by the National Guard) a kind of rolling court operates, in which every illegal gets to meet a judge and cry their cry, or have their lawyers argue, for a maximum of 5 minutes.
Five minutes: “So what’s your full name? Do you have proof of U.S. citizenship? No? Then off you go. Bailiffs (for we’ll need a bunch of them) please escort this person to the prison airport bus. NEXT!”
So one judge can process 12 per hour, or (do judges work 8 hour days? I doubt it) 8 x 12 = 96. So train and hire 1,000 judges. Then you can process 96,000 per day. Let’s reduce that by 20 % to allow for glitches, delays, etc. That gives 77,000 per day, or about (x 5 days) 385,000 a week. At 50 weeks, that’s 19 million a year. — Problem solved!

Every distortion has its expression. Many distortions are beautiful, and some distortions lead to new pathways and new consciousness, and therefore the advancement of humanity — and of animals, with whom we share this existence. Distortion is the mother of evolution.
Most plants and animals existing on earth are the result of distortions.
So the next time .someone says to you, “that was inappropriate,” instead of hanging your head in shame, first consider the source. Only arrogant know-it-alls claim anything is inappropriate. (They used to be called PC’ers — those who insist that others speak as they do, and reflect only their PC — “politically correct” —ideas. “PC” was the scourge of the 1970’s and 1980’s — and is the birth mother of DEI and Democrat racism.) Secondly, remember, distortions are the source of humanity’s growth. Do you or your actions qualify as a potential disruptor of the human status quo?
You don’t have to know what or how your particular inappropriate disruption (the two words are synonymous to the PC’er) might cause or produce, whether tiny or giant, weather alone, or in concert with many others. All you have to have is an intuitive certainty that your inappropriate speech, action, life, is not harming anyone and might even be enriching someone somewhere. THAT’S appropriate!

The novel, like all good art, only refers to reality. Reality can be shocking, amazing, thrilling, and every other kind of thing, but to try to translate it into a fictional form is to create something awkward, difficult to follow, and disruptive to the imagination.
There is something in fiction or art that draws you in and floats you down a river of consciousness. This something is fluid, invisible, and almost impossible to describe. It’s almost like a wave or a series of waves that slowly go through the story. In this sense, fiction is like music. It has a rhythm and builds a structure that appeals to the mind and draws the reader further in. In good literature, these waves reverberate and reflect, and one part of the story reminds us of another part.
